Pontius Pilate
Pontius Pilate.
During the Lenten season, but especially on Good Friday, I like to reflect on the example he shows us. His character and his personality is so complicated, and the role he plays during Jesus’ trial is almost mystifying.
Here he is, a man of power. In charge of a large piece of Read the rest of this entry »

“I want to be a Proverbs 31 girl!”
“Trying to be the girl I was created to be. #Proverbs31”
“I thought I was grown up enough, but looks like I have more growing to do. #Proverbs31Girl”

Six Whole Days
Six Whole Days
A Fictional Short Story by Alexis Grace
It had been a tough week, and nothing seemed to be going the way I needed it to.
It was nothing terrible; just the ordinary happenings of everyday life. As I ran along the banks of a nearby stream, I found a log and sat down to look over the past week.
It started with a big fight with my parents, which resulted with me being grounded because I completely lost my temper. Being grounded meant Read the rest of this entry »

I Had To Do Something…So I Wrote A Post
A couple of months ago, I found an article that really bothered me.
So much so, that I couldn’t resist the opportunity to pick it apart. (AKA ‘do something’ in the only way I know how.) It first caught my attention because of the title: “No joke this time: Is the Pope Catholic?”.
If you know me, then you probably know I looked Read the rest of this entry »
Come Holy Spirit! (Part 3)
This post is the third out of three in a series I call, ‘Come Holy Spirit!’ The title reflects my personal experiences from this past July, which focuses on receiving my Sacrament of Confirmation, and also my experience at CatholicTV as a co-host providing live television coverage of World Youth Day 2013 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I have 2 hopeful purposes for sharing this piece of my life with you.

- To show you that with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can do anything!!!

The next three days passed quickly. To make a long story short, I spent them loading content onto my new iPod, taking tennis lessons, going to Pizza & Prayer, and doing some summer-schoolwork. Of course, packing was on the agenda too!
On Thursday, it was finally time to leave Read the rest of this entry »
